The short answer
A company financials lookup reads the annual figures a US public company filed with the SEC. This free tool takes a ticker, a company name or a CIK number and shows revenue, net income, margin, growth, total assets and the fiscal year end. A free trial adds cash flow, debt, equity and five years of history.
- No signup needed
- Read from SEC filings
- Ticker, name or CIK number
A company financials lookup shows what a public company told the SEC about its year.
Enter a ticker, a company name or an SEC CIK number. The tool finds the company in the SEC's list of registered companies, reads the figures it tagged in its annual report, and shows revenue, net income, net margin, revenue growth on the year before, total assets, the exchange it is listed on and the date its fiscal year ended.
Every figure comes from one fiscal year, so a revenue number from one year is never set beside a profit from another. Money is shown in the currency the company reports in, shortened to billions or millions. To keep the tool free for everyone, a company looked up in the last 12 hours is shown again from a saved answer.
A name that matches no registered company costs no credits, and neither does a company that is registered but has filed no annual statements, which is common for funds and trusts. A free trial adds cash flow, debt, equity, the latest quarter and a five-year history, and checks many companies at once.

A company lookup returns these facts, and each one answers a different question.
This is an invented result for a made-up company, laid out the way a real one comes back. The headline figures are free on this page, and a free trial opens the rest.

One company lookup shows the revenue, profit and balance sheet a company filed.
Every figure comes from the same fiscal year.
Revenue, profit and assets are read at one year-end, so a number from one year is never set beside a number from another.
Growth and margin are worked out for you.
You see revenue growth on the year before and net profit as a share of revenue, next to the figures they come from.
A ticker, a name or a CIK number all work.
A CIK number finds a company that no longer trades and so has no ticker. A name search ranks an exact match first.
A company with nothing to read costs no credits.
A private company, a typo or a registered fund with no annual statements returns a plain reason, and nothing is used up.
Sales teams, credit teams, analysts and founders all read company financials with this tool.
Sales teams sizing up a public account
Check how large a prospect is and whether it is growing, before you decide how much time its account deserves.
Finance and credit teams checking a counterparty
See a customer's or vendor's latest revenue, profit and total assets in one glance, with the year they belong to.
Analysts and students looking for a quick figure
Get a company's latest revenue and net income without opening an annual report or a spreadsheet.
Founders and investors comparing companies
Look up two or three public companies in turn and compare their size, margin and growth.
These are the questions people ask about the free SEC company financials lookup.
Is the SEC company financials lookup really free?
Yes. You can look up a company without an account and there is nothing to pay. The page limits how many lookups each visitor can run, to keep it free for everyone. A free 1Lookup trial removes that limit and adds cash flow, debt, equity, the latest quarter and up to five years of figures.
Where do the figures come from?
From the SEC's own public files: its list of registered companies, which turns a ticker or a name into a CIK number, and its company facts files, which hold the figures each company tagged in the annual and quarterly reports it filed.
Which companies can I look up?
Companies that report to the SEC. A private company, a subsidiary that files nothing of its own and most foreign companies will not be found. A company that no longer trades has no ticker, so search for it by its CIK number.
Why does a company come back with no annual statements?
Some companies are registered with the SEC but have not filed annual financial statements, which is common for funds, trusts and newly registered companies. The tool says so and shows the reason, and nothing is used up.
Which fiscal year am I seeing?
The latest fiscal year the company has reported in an annual report. The label on the revenue line names the year, and the fiscal year ended line gives the exact day it closed, which is not always December 31.
How current are the figures?
They change when a company files a report, a few times a year. A company looked up in the last 12 hours is shown from a saved answer, and the page names the fiscal year it used so you can see how old the figures are.
What does a negative net income mean?
The company reported a loss for the year. The tool shows the figure as a net loss and marks it with a caution color, and it works out the margin the same way.
How should I read the margin and the growth?
Net margin is net income divided by revenue, and revenue growth is the change against the fiscal year before. They describe what the filing says. They do not say whether a company is a good business.
Can I look up a list of companies at once?
Yes, in a free trial. Upload a CSV with a company column or call the SEC Company Facts API. Each company whose annual statements are found costs 2 credits, and a miss costs nothing.
