A keyword and a website come back as a place on Google, the page that ranks and the top 10 results
Each number is a field your code receives, here for an invented outdoor gear store searched from Austin, Texas. The same fields come back as JSON in the API response below.

The other 90 results are searched for your site too, and the response carries the link to the Google page for the same search, 30 credits for all of it
Every check comes back as one record with the position, the ranking page and the top 10
A website written any way returns the same ranking
Paste a bare domain, a www address or a full page link. Each one is reduced to the site's own domain and its subdomains count, so one site is always one answer.
- Bare domain, www or full link
- Subdomains count as the same site
- A bad value is refused before any charge
The position comes from the top 100 Google results
Your website is looked for in all 100 results. The answer is its place or a plain not found, and every further page of the same site that ranks is listed too.
- A place from 1 to 100
- Not found is a clear answer
- Up to five further pages listed
The search can be made from a country or from a city
Choose any of 29 countries, or add a city with its state, like Austin, Texas, to see what a customer there sees. A language code changes the language of the search.
- 29 countries to choose from
- Any city, written with its state
- 13 languages
The top 10 results show who sits above your website
The ten results at the top come back with their title, link and domain, and your website is marked in the list when it is one of them.
- Title, link and domain of each result
- Your site marked in the top 10
- The number of results Google reports
The blocks on the results page show what else competes for the click
People also ask, an AI overview, videos, a local pack and the other special blocks come back by name, and the result says whether your site holds the featured snippet.
- AI overview and people also ask
- Featured snippet ownership
- A link to the Google results page
A check that reads no results costs nothing
You are charged 30 credits only when search results come back. An error, a timeout and a place the check cannot search from cost 0 credits, and a repeat check within 1 day is free.
- No results, no charge
- Errors are never billed
- Repeat checks within 1 day are free

One row in, one row out
Every check becomes one row, so 500 keywords become a spreadsheet of 500 rows you can sort by position.
The full top 10 is in the JSON export
The CSV carries the position, the ranking page and the counts. The top 10 results of every check, with their titles and links, are in the JSON file for the same job.
A check with no results costs 0 credits
A check that reads results costs 30 credits however long the list is, and a row where no results come back is free.
Every ranking report comes back with the same fields at one flat price
A website outside the top 100 comes back with found set to false and a null position, never a guess, and every check costs the same 30 credits.

SEO teams, agencies and local businesses check where a site ranks before they decide what to fix
SEO teams track a keyword's position every week without opening Google
Run the same list of keywords from a bulk file each Monday and chart the position column. A page that drops from 4 to 12 shows up in the file before it shows up in traffic.
Agencies show a client what customers in their own city see
Check the keyword from the client's city and from the capital. The two answers often differ, and the result carries the link to the Google page for the same search, so the proof is one click away.
Marketing teams size up competitors on the searches that matter
Run one keyword for your site and for three competitors, then read the places side by side. The top 10 list shows who holds the spots above you and which result blocks take the clicks.
Local businesses check how they rank in every town they serve
A plumber or a dentist with offices in five towns checks the same keyword from each town. A bulk file with a city on every row turns that into one report.
The same keyword checked from three cities shows where a website is strong and where it is weak
Each city returns its own place for the same website, so a local gap shows up as a number before it shows up in sales.

These are the questions people ask before they run their first check
What does the Keyword Rank Checker return?
Send a keyword and a website and it returns the website's place among the top 100 Google results, or that it is not in them. It also returns the page that ranks with its title and link, up to five further pages of the same site, the top 10 results with your site marked, the special result blocks on the page such as people also ask or an AI overview, the country or city the search was made from and when it was checked.
Is this a keyword rank checker I can call from code?
Yes. You send a request with your 1Lookup API key and get the answer back as JSON, so a rank tracker, a report or a spreadsheet can ask the same question every week without anyone opening Google.
Can I check the ranking from a specific city?
Yes. Add a city written with its state or region, like Austin, Texas, and the search is made from there. Leave it out and the search is made from the country. There are 29 countries to choose from, and a language code such as en or es changes the language of the search.
How many results does it look through?
The top 100. Your website is looked for in all 100, and the top 10 are returned in full so you can see who sits above you. Pages from your site that rank further down are listed as further pages, and its subdomains count as the same site.
What happens when my website is not in the top 100?
You get a result with found set to false and the top 10 results, so you can see who holds the places you want. The check still costs 30 credits because the 100 results were read. When no search results come back at all, it costs 0 credits.
How much does a rank check cost?
30 credits per check that reads results, which is $148.50 per 1,000 checks on the Starter plan and $105.60 on Growth. A check where no results come back, an error and a timeout cost 0 credits, in the API, the dashboard and bulk jobs.
Do the positions match what I see in Google?
They are the places Google shows for a search made from that country or city at the moment of the check. Results move through the day and differ between places, so compare checks made from the same place. Every result carries the link to the Google page for the same search so you can look at it yourself.
Does it show AI overviews and featured snippets?
Yes. The special blocks on the results page come back by name, among them AI overview, featured snippet, people also ask, videos, images and local pack, and the result tells you whether your website holds the featured snippet.
How fresh is a check and how long does it take?
Each check is made live. A fresh check usually takes 5 to 20 seconds, so set your client timeout to 120 seconds and a slow one still returns its data. The same keyword, website and place checked again within 1 day is served from cache and is free.
Can I check a list of keywords at once?
Yes. Upload a CSV with one column named rank_check and write each check as keyword | website | country | city, with the country and city optional. You get one row per check with the position, the ranking page, the number of results checked, the top result and the result blocks. The top 10 results of each check are in the JSON export. Each check that reads results costs 30 credits.
Can I check my competitors as well as my own website?
Yes. The website can be any site, so you can run one keyword for your site and for three competitors and read their places side by side.
How is it different from the SERP Scraper?
The SERP Scraper, at 1 credit, returns one results page as rows. The Keyword Rank Checker answers where one website stands: it reads 100 results, works by country and city, and marks your site in the top 10. Teams use the SERP Scraper to read a page and the rank checker to track a position over time.
A position is one signal, and these products add the rest of the picture
Here is how checking a keyword's rank with 1Lookup compares with rank trackers and search APIs
Each page sets a rival's plans and prices beside ours and says where the rival does the job better. Every figure carries its source and the date it was checked.
