Who uses Company Profile Lookup
Sales ops segmenting the account base
Thousands of CRM accounts with nothing but a domain on them. Run each through a 25-credit profile and every record gains industry, size band and headquarters: the fields your territory rules and routing actually filter on.
Outbound teams working a funding trigger
A company that closed a round last quarter has budget and open headcount. Check last_round_date and total_raised on your prospect list and put the recently funded accounts at the top of the sequence.
Marketing ops scoring inbound signups
A trial signup arrives with a work email. Look up the domain and you know within a minute whether it is a 12-person shop or a 5,000-person target account, and which nurture track it belongs in.
Teams triaging before deep enrichment
Profile the full list at 25 credits per match, disqualify the accounts that are the wrong size or industry, then spend 75 credits on Company Firmographics only for the ones that survive the cut.
Frequently asked questions
What does Company Profile Lookup do?
You send a company domain, and it returns a firmographic profile: industry, company size, headquarters, founding year, specialties and follower count, plus the company's funding history: total raised, number of rounds, investor count, last round date and IPO status. The profile comes from live professional network data, and the funding block from public company registries.
How much does it cost?
25 credits per matched lookup. That is about $0.09 per company on the Growth plan and about $0.12 on Starter. A third of the price of Company Firmographics, which is the point: profile the whole list cheaply, then go deep only on the accounts that qualify.
Am I charged when no company is found?
No. Company Profile Lookup is success-billed. If we cannot match the domain to a company, no credits are deducted. That applies to the API, the dashboard and bulk CSV jobs alike.
How is this different from Company Firmographics?
Company Firmographics (75 credits) is the deep profile: 50+ fields including SIC and NAICS codes, revenue estimates, technology stack and headcount growth rates. Company Profile Lookup (25 credits) is the lighter sibling: the core profile plus funding history, but no revenue estimate, no technographics and no growth rates. Use this one to segment and prioritize at volume; use Firmographics when an account has earned the full workup.
How fast is a lookup?
The first lookup on a domain is a deep fetch of live data and typically takes one to three minutes, not milliseconds. We would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. Results are cached for 7 days, so repeat lookups on the same company return instantly.
What can I send as input?
A company domain is the usual input; we resolve it to the company's public profile automatically. If you already have the profile URL you can send that instead and skip the resolution step. An optional include_funding flag (default true) controls whether the registry funding data is fetched. Either way the price is a flat 25 credits.
Does every company come back with funding data?
No, and we will not pad it. Funding history comes from public company registries, so companies that never raised outside capital or never disclosed it return an empty funding block. You still get the full firmographic profile, and you are still only charged the same 25 credits.
