An email address arrives with no name attached: a form submission, a message from someone claiming to be a colleague, a contact in a spreadsheet nobody documented. A reverse email lookup runs the search in the direction you actually need, from address to person, and tells you who it belongs to.

Coverage varies by the type of address. Business addresses on company domains match well, because that data is comparatively public. Is reverse email lookup free?
This tool is. Five lookups a day here and fifteen a day across all our free tools, with no account. The free result masks the name and omits contact details. A free account gives you the full record and 1,000 lookups over a seven-day trial.
Why did my search return no match?
Most often the address is new, personal, or an alias that has never appeared in public data. Personal Gmail-style addresses match far less often than business addresses on company domains. A no-match does not mean the address is fake.
Is this the same as an email verifier?
No. An email verifier checks whether the address exists and can receive mail. This finds the person associated with it. Many people want both: verify deliverability with the email verifier, identify the owner here.
Where does the data come from?
Licensed consumer and business contact datasets, matched at the moment you search. It is the same source as our Email Enrichment API, which runs the identical match in bulk.
Can I look up an email in bulk?
Yes, but not through this page. A free account includes CSV upload for batches, and the Email Enrichment API handles high volume programmatically.
Is it legal to look up an email address?
Searching licensed contact data is legal in the US for ordinary business purposes. It is not a consumer report and must not be used for credit, insurance, employment or tenancy decisions, and it must never be used to harass anyone.
