1Lookup logovsPhantomBuster logoExecution-hour subscription vs pay-per-pull API

1Lookup lists up to 100 people who engaged with a LinkedIn post for $0.025, with no LinkedIn account connected and no execution hours to budget.

PhantomBuster sells capacity: automations that run in your cloud workspace against your own LinkedIn session, from $69 a month. 1Lookup sells the result: send a post link and get the people who reacted or commented, billed per pull and only when people come back.

PhantomBuster is an automation platform with ready-made LinkedIn automations, among them a Post Likers Export and a Post Commenters Export. It charges a monthly subscription for execution time, slots and credit pools, so no price per person is printed. Its figures here come from its own pricing explainer dated 21 July 2026, because its pricing page shows prices only in a browser. 1Lookup charges 5 credits a pull, about $0.025 on Starter.

Before you sign: PhantomBuster and 1Lookup on the operational terms

The terms that decide what a year actually costs, rather than what the first month does. “Not listed” means we could not verify it on either product’s published pages, not that the answer is nothing.

Term1LookupPhantomBuster
Minimum commitment

None. Monthly plans with no contract and no minimum volume; cancel any time

No minimum term is printed on the pages read.

Every paid plan is shown with a monthly price and a lower per-month price with annual billing.

Cost per extra seatNot listed

Plans are workspace-level, not per user; all members share one pool of execution hours, slots and credits.

No per-seat price is printed on the pages read.

Going over your quotaNot listed

No overage charge is printed.

When a credit type runs out, workflows that need it fail at that step; add-on credit packs (prices not readable) or a larger plan are the options; execution time and slots have no mid-cycle top-up.

API access

Included on every plan and during the free trial; there is no tier that unlocks it

An API with a key from Workspace settings is documented; no plan restriction is printed on the readable pages.

Free and Trial are limited to 10 rows per export or API call and paid plans remove that cap.

Rate limit

1,000 requests per minute on standard accounts, with higher limits available on request

No per-day limit for the LinkedIn Post Likers Export, Post Commenters Export or Post Commenter and Liker Scraper could be read today (the help-center rate-limit article is behind a bot wall).

The vendor's own blog says there is no universal safe number of profiles to extract per day.

1Lookup logoWhere 1Lookup wins

  • A price you can read: 5 credits a pull, about $0.025 on Starter, against a plan priced in execution hours with no price per person printed
  • No LinkedIn account connected: no session, extension, cookie or proxy, so nothing is paced against a personal profile
  • Charged only when people come back, where PhantomBuster's email discovery uses a credit even when it finds no email
  • Unused monthly credits roll over for 3 months, where PhantomBuster's credits reset monthly and do not roll over

PhantomBuster logoWhere PhantomBuster wins

  • Flat monthly price with included capacity: the vendor says buyers pay for 'monthly workflow capacity (time, slots, and credits), not raw volume'.
  • Ready-made automations for both halves of post engagement (a LinkedIn Post Likers Export, a LinkedIn Post Commenters Export and a combined Post Commenter and Liker Scraper), part of a library the vendor describes as 100+ ready-made automations.
  • Multi-step workflows that extract, qualify, enrich and push results to a CRM or sequence tool, not only export a list.
  • A free plan and a 14-day trial that needs no credit card, so a buyer can test before paying.
  • One workspace plan is shared by all team members, with no per-seat price printed on the pages read.
  • An HTTPS JSON API that can launch and abort agents and read their status and output.

Who this is for

A quick, honest read on which tool fits your use case.

Choose 1Lookup if: you want the people who liked or commented on a post returned by one API request, without connecting a LinkedIn account or scheduling a browser automation.

Consider PhantomBuster instead if: the list is only the first step: PhantomBuster chains extraction, qualification, enrichment and a push to your CRM or sequencer in one flat-priced workspace, and it has a free plan.

Frequently asked questions

What is PhantomBuster used for?

Running cloud automations that extract, enrich and route LinkedIn and other web data. Its library lists 100+ ready-made automations, among them exports of the people who liked a LinkedIn post and the people who commented on one, and workflows that push the results to a CRM or a sequencing tool. It is built for sales and growth teams who want the whole workflow in one place.

How does PhantomBuster pricing work in 2026?

A subscription priced by capacity, not by result. Per its own pricing explainer dated 21 July 2026, Start is $69 a month ($56 billed annually) for 20 execution hours, 5 slots, 500 email credits, 10,000 AI credits and 1,000 URL Finder credits; Grow is $159 a month ($128 annually); Scale is $439 a month ($352 annually). A Free plan gives 30 minutes of execution time, and a 14-day trial needs no card. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over. The pricing page itself needs a browser to show prices, so check it before you buy.

Why can't I see PhantomBuster's price per LinkedIn post export?

Because it is not printed. A run draws on the monthly execution time while the automation works, so the cost of a list depends on how long the run takes, and PhantomBuster's own blog says there is no universal safe number of profiles to extract per day from a connected LinkedIn account. The only per-hour figures are arithmetic on the plans: $3.45 an execution hour on Start, $1.99 on Grow and $1.46 on Scale at monthly billing.

How much does 1Lookup charge for a LinkedIn post list?

5 credits per list that finds people, free when nobody is found, for up to 100 people per list. On the Starter plan ($99 a month for 20,000 credits) that is about $0.025 a pull and 4,000 pulls a month, or $24.75 per 1,000 pulls. When every list comes back full, 1,000 people cost about $0.25. Reactions and comments are two separate lists, so both for one post is two pulls.

Do I need a LinkedIn account with 1Lookup?

No. You send a request with your 1Lookup API key and the people come back as JSON, with no LinkedIn login, browser extension, cookie or proxy. PhantomBuster's automations run through your own LinkedIn account connected with a browser extension, which is why its volume is paced against that account.

Where does PhantomBuster beat 1Lookup?

On the workflow around the list. PhantomBuster runs multi-step automations that extract, qualify, enrich and push results to a CRM or a sequence, from a library of 100+ of them, with a free plan and a 14-day trial that needs no card and one workspace plan shared by the whole team. At high volumes a flat monthly price can also be cheaper than paying for each pull. 1Lookup returns up to 100 people per list and nothing else: no emails, no scheduling and no CRM push.

Is PhantomBuster worth it in 2026?

If you want a scheduled, multi-step workflow across LinkedIn and other sites, and you are comfortable running it through your own LinkedIn account, yes. If you only need the people behind a post, the parts to check are the execution-hour budget, the 10-row cap on free and trial exports, and the fact that credits reset monthly. A per-pull API is a simpler purchase for that one job.
