What the $20 in trial credits covers

1Lookup uses one universal credit balance, and trial credits work on every product. At the Growth plan rate of $0.00352 per credit, $20 is roughly 5,600 credits, which is about 5,600 core validations (phone, email, IP, spam). Products that return more data cost more per lookup, so the same balance is about 560 reverse lookups or 66 audience-intelligence reports. Either way it is enough to run a real list through the API before you pay anything. Trial lookups hit the same production API and the same daily-updated FCC and carrier data as paid plans.

Starter ($99/month for 20,000 credits) trials with $5 in credits; Growth and above trial with $20. If you only want to test a handful of lookups first, the free tools run single lookups on the live API with no account at all.

Free trial FAQ

How long is the 1Lookup free trial?

The free trial runs for 7 days from the moment you start it, and it is available on every plan. Starter includes $5 of universal credits; Growth, Professional, and Enterprise include $20.

What is included in the free trial?

You get $20 worth of universal credits with full access to every 1Lookup API: phone validation, email validation, IP lookup, carrier and HLR lookup, phone spam checking, and reverse lookup. At the Growth plan rate that is roughly 5,600 credits. Core validations cost 1 credit each, so that is about 5,600 of them; HLR costs 5 and reverse lookup 10, so richer products go further down the balance. Trial lookups use the same daily-updated data as paid plans.

Do I need a credit card to start the trial?

Yes. A card is required to start the trial, but nothing is charged up front; only a temporary authorization is placed. If you cancel during the 7 days you pay nothing.

What happens when the trial ends?

Your trial converts to the paid plan you selected when either 7 days pass or you use the full $20 of trial credits, whichever comes first. Cancel any time before that and your card is never charged.

Can I test 1Lookup without creating an account?

Yes. The free tools at 1lookup.io/tools run single lookups on the live API, including phone validation, email checking, and IP lookup, with no signup required. The trial is the way to test the API itself at volume.

Are trial results as accurate as paid results?

Yes. Trial credits run against the same production API and the same data, refreshed daily from FCC and carrier sources, that paid customers use. There is no separate trial dataset.

Do unused credits expire on paid plans?

Unused monthly credits roll over for 3 months, and separately purchased credits last 1 year. Oldest credits are always consumed first.
