Free X (Twitter) Post Search
An X post search finds recent public posts that match a keyword, phrase or search operator. This free tool searches X live, then shows the first three matching posts with their text, date, likes, reposts, replies and views. It takes up to 40 seconds, needs no X account, and a free trial opens all 20 posts.

Need this at scale? X Post Search API
Run searches by CSV or API: up to 20 posts per search with each author's followers, likes, reposts and views, at 15 credits per search that finds posts.
An X search shows what people are saying about a topic right now.
Type any keyword or phrase and this tool searches X for the newest public posts that match. For each post you get the text, the date and the counts X shows: likes, reposts, replies and views. Above the posts you see how many matched, when the newest one went out, how many likes the best one got and how many different accounts wrote them.
The search runs on X while you wait, so an answer can take up to 40 seconds. To keep the tool free for everyone, a search that someone ran in the last two hours is shown again instead of being read a second time. You can use anything you would type into the X search box, such as a hashtag, a phrase in quotes, or from:username to read one account's posts about a topic.
This page reads public posts and nothing more. It cannot post, like, follow or message anyone, and it shows only the first few posts of each search. A free trial opens all 20 posts, adds every author's follower count and bio, and runs whole lists of searches at once.
A search is one way in, and reading one account or one thread is another.
When you already know the account you want, read its latest posts with the free X profile posts viewer. To see who answered a post you found, use the free X post replies viewer. To check an account's followers before you reach out, try the free X profile viewer.
A post search returns these fields, and each one answers a different question.
This is an invented result for a made-up search, laid out the way a real one comes back. The first fields are free on this page, and a free trial opens the rest.

Posts found
How many recent public posts matched, up to 20. A low number means few people are talking about it today.
Newest post
The date of the latest match. It tells you how fresh the conversation is.
Most liked post
The likes on the best performing post in the set, a quick read on how much the topic resonates.
Accounts posting
How many different accounts wrote the posts. A low number means a few accounts are doing most of the talking.
Followers and bio
How big each author's audience is and what they say about themselves, so you can pick the accounts worth answering.
All the posts
Every post in the search with its link, not only the first three.
Searching X takes three steps and no login.
Type a keyword or a search
Use plain words, a hashtag, a phrase in quotes, or operators such as from:username and lang:en. A search can be up to 200 characters.
We search X live
The search runs on X when you press the button, so the posts are the newest ones. A search someone ran in the last two hours is shown again to save time.
Read the first posts and their numbers
You see the first three posts with their date, likes, reposts, replies and views, plus a summary of the whole search. The other posts are in the free trial.
One search reads X live, keeps the newest matches and shows you the first few.
This is the path a single search takes. Nothing is tied to an account, and nothing is posted from anywhere.

Send a keyword or an X search to the endpoint with your API key. A search that finds posts costs 15 credits and a search that finds nothing costs 0. The posts are in insights.x_post_search_result.posts, and each one carries its author, followers, likes, reposts, replies and views.

}For lists of searches from a CSV file, and every author's followers and bio, see our X Post Search API.
You can search with anything you would type into X.
Plain words, hashtags, phrases in quotes and operators such as from:username and lang:en all work, up to 200 characters.
Every post comes with the numbers X shows for it.
Likes, reposts, replies and views are plain numbers, so you can tell a post that landed from one nobody saw.
The search is summed up before you read a single post.
You see how many posts matched, the date of the newest, the likes on the best one and how many accounts wrote them.
Nothing about you is needed to run it.
There is no X account, no login, no key and no browser extension, and your search is not tied to a profile.

Frequently asked questions
Is this X post search really free?
Yes. You do not need an X account or a 1Lookup account. To keep it available to everyone, each visitor gets a few searches a day and sees the first few posts of each. A free trial opens all 20 posts and lets you run as many searches as your credits cover.
How many posts does a search show?
This page shows the first three posts of each search, newest first, with a summary of the whole search. A search returns up to 20 posts in the free trial and in the API.
Why can a search take up to 40 seconds?
The search runs on X while you wait, and X can take 10 to 40 seconds to answer. A search that someone else ran in the last two hours comes back at once.
Do I need an X account or a developer key?
No. You type the search and read the posts. There is no login, no key to apply for and nothing to install.
Can I read one account's posts about a topic?
Yes. Add from:username to the search, like from:nasa. To read an account's latest posts without a keyword, use the free X profile posts viewer.
Are the results complete?
No. You get recent public posts that match, up to 20 per search, not every post ever written. Posts from private or suspended accounts do not appear.
Can I run a long list of searches at once?
Yes, in a free trial. Upload a CSV with a query column, or call the X Post Search API. Each search that finds posts costs 15 credits, and a search that finds nothing is free.
